Driving and travelling inside and to Bulgaria

At the moment the cheapest standard flight we found is offered by Bulgaria Air www.air.bg

Currently the flights depart from Gatwick to Sofia at 10.30 most mornings (check with your travel agent) at around 199 Euro return.

British Airways fly from Heathrow and sometimes have special offers.

At the time of writing Bulgaria Air had a "special" return - fly on a Wednesday and a return cost just £132.50.

My favourite Airline is Bulgarian Airways, it starts with a complimentary drink, you have a choice from:

Fresh Juices
Beer
Wine
Mineral Water
Coffee
Tea

and they always come around with a second cup if you choose Coffee or Tea.

The drinks and the inflight meal are all complimentary (not like some of the Airlines that charge you).

I managed to pick up flights (in season) for £110 return, per person.

These fares were available on Teletext.

It is rumoured that more budget airlines will be flying to Bulgaria soon.

Budget airline Wizz Air now fly to Sofia, I have managed to get return flights from Sofia to Luton for just £50.
